Easter Bunny Stopped By. Streak Continues.

Tags: , , ,

Another holiday.

Another acknowledgement to all that is good in the world. No One is More Surprised Than Me.

Our floppy eared friend showed up.  And she cleaned up.

The Evil Spawn continues to believe.

I sensed a slight hesitation, but not a word was said.

This would be year number 11 if you are keeping score at home.

This process has lasted longer than I ever could have imagined.

Only 260 days until Christmas.

Will she make it?

I hope so.  Because once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Last night my grandson,7, who lives with us, told me he didn”t want to sleep by himself in his room. It has taken 6 1/2 yrs to get him out of our bed. I praised him for how well he has been doing and told him that he wouldn’t want the Easter Bunny to come and find him sleeping with us! He said, “Maw-maw, thatls why I want to sleep with you. I’m afraid of the Easter Bunny!” When you think about all the lies (fantasies) that we perptuate with our children, it”s a wonder that tbey”re not more messed up! All these so-called good guys (Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, & Santa) only come at night, after you fall asleep. They mysteriously enter, creep around your room and house, then exit without being seen. Meanwhile, we install deadbolts on our doors and security alarms on our property to keep intruders out! Once they get older, usually at kindergarten, they keep pretending to believe for our sakes and out of fear that if they admit they know the truth, the goodies will stop coming. Oh, the sins we commit in the name of love! :)
