Who Wants a FREE Copy of Waiting for Superman?

Tags: , , ,

Free giveaways aren’t something I normally do, but today I’m making an exception (I prefer receiving free stuff over giving it away)

The good people of M80 Internet Media Services have given me two copies of the movie “Waiting for Superman”.

Now, my job is to give them away.

I don’t mean to brag, but I think I’m up to it.

If you haven’t seen Waiting for Superman, here’s your chance.

All you have to do is leave a comment before 6 pm CST on Friday, February 18, 2010.

Somewhere in the comment, work in these words:  “Buddy the Dog”.

If you can handle this complex task, I will randomly (Randomizer.org) pick two comments and give the authors either the DVD or Blu-ray of the movie.

It’s just that simple.

Work my dog into a comment.  Get a free DVD or Blu-ray of Waiting for Superman.

How do you know this contest is legit?

Because Buddy the Dog is the judge.

And he has an unblemished record of making good choices (except those 57 times he’s gotten in the garbage).

If you don’t win… rent the movie.  Whether you agree with it or not, educators need to see what it’s about.

M80 contacted me (and Buddy) on behalf of Paramount Home Entertainment. We are not receiving free products, services, or payment of any kind in exchange for our participation.

Mike: I’m sure Buddy the Dog is waiting for his own personal Superman, but I’d love to see the DVD of that movie.

So Buddy the Dog is the random judge of this giveaway contest? Does Buddy the Dog have any thoughts on how to improve schools and raise scores too? :)

As long as he is making good choices, did Buddy the Dog make the choice to have you take over the Evil Spawn’s school district? :)

    Have a great day!

It’s very cool you received a copy of this movie. I would like to see the DVD version, that is, if Buddy the Dog does not keep it.

Hopefully, you will still ship to me in Canada, even though it may cost more. If its too much, just send it with Buddy the Dog.

I am SO hoping that Buddy the Dog appreciates what a cool “master” he has! (Of course we all know who the real master is, but it’s nice of him to let you believe that it’s you!) Hopefully this blatant attempt at flattering Buddy the Dog won’t really help my chances, but I can always dream!

Thirteen comments here and no one has made the connection. “Buddy the Dog” is Superman. He has another alter-ego too: Blue Ray, a world famous jazz musician who frequents New Orleans nigh clubs. That dog gets around!

I have been waiting to see and own a copy of the DVD version of “Waiting for Superman”. This contest is just the venue I have been looking for, as it gives me a chance to compete in a random manner.

In this day and age of contests based on skill and talent, Buddy the Dog is perhaps the quintessential judge. Paula Abdul and Steven Tyler will pale given his stellar track record (despite the 57 times he went into the garbage). Superman, nay I say, Super dog and Super judge!

Such incredible reviews, I am looking forward to seeing it! It’s about time that this serious situation is getting the attention it deserves! The U.S. currently ranks ninth among industrialized nations in its share of the population where students have at least a high school degree. Compare this to just 20 years ago, when the United States ranked first in the world!

What is the United States school system doing wrong? I hope to be enlightened by this film and to have these questions of mine answered to some degree. My two children attend a charter school because I agree with the concept of, “Not performing, not getting good results from your students? Bye, bye!” No tenure, no union. Just go if you’re not good! I believe in that. If Buddy the Dog could speak, I’m sure he’d say the same thing to anyone who was failing him! Thanks for listening. Thanks for making this movie. : )

Last night, I am embarrassed to say, I actually stayed to watch the credits roll on one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. I should have donned the 3D glasses (stashed in my movie coat pocket from a previous trip) to have guaranteed that no one would have seen me exiting the show. Better yet, I should have walked out immediately after finishing my delicious bucket of popcorn (usually about 10 minutes into the featured presentation). Possibly I can redeem myself by viewing “Waiting for Superman.” Please ask Buddy the Dog to randomly select me.
